Truly was one heck of a dog. She slept with us, ate with us, and was a true field trial star. When Truly ran in the field the gallery would fill with her admirers. Truly had a very animated style of running and loved to find and point birds. She WAS "Dixie's" kid! Truly!

Many of Truly's placements were made under the handling of her owner, Joyce Roberts. After getting off to a fast start by getting her puppy and derby points early on, we decided that she would be ready to begin running adult stakes.

With tom Tracy, Jr. in a summer in the Dakotas working pheasants, sharptails and prairie chickens she came out with a bang, winning the 2002 Georgia Brittany Club Field Trial Open Gun Dog Stake and the 2002 Music City Brittany Club Field Trial Open Gun Dog Stake. The points from these trials finished her as an AKC Field Champion at 22 months old.

In September of 2003 she won the American Brittany Club Gun Dog Classic / American Brittany Shooting Dog Championship giving her an American Field 1X Champion status and then won it again in 2005.

In 2004 she won the big one, the ABC National Gun Dog Championship at only 3 years old. Throughout Truly's career galleries of onlookers made sure to ride Truly's braces, always enjoying her smart style and her application of speed to the task.

On July 6th, 2007, Truly was out on a routine exercise on a cool morning, just only 2 minutes into her routine when she fell and didn't get back up. Vic tried cardio message and mouth to mouth but she would not revive. There are no words that can express our loss and I am sure that many of Truly's friends and admirers will miss her deeply.
